Hello Students,
Your new assignment is to create an original 2 minute video. Video concepts must be approved by me, and then storyboards must be completed before time can be scheduled for shooting. We have limited camera's so everyone will have to pre-plan a shooting schedule.
As a class we all brainstormed ideas, anything can be turned into a video. You could make a video about what people eat for lunch, what cars they drive etc. Some of our class ideas where music videos, kung fu, zombies, robots, cops spoofs, movie spoofs, movie trailers, documentaries etc. Get together with your team (max 3 per team) and brainstorm an idea to pitch to me.
Step 1. Write a small 1 page outline of your video concept, discuss your content, style, effects, difficulties etc...
Step 2. After approval create a set of storyboards for your video, these are due by tuesday. Make them clear and easy to understand.
Step 3. You may schedule camera check out times. Shooting may occur during class, or after, weekends etc... it is your teams responsibility to make the shooting schedule work.
I will be checking in with all teams during the shooting/production phase, progress is expected daily. That's it! Todays task is to brainstorm your idea and be ready to present by monday.
